Lycosa

Lycosa is the Genus name of the group of spiders more commonly known as Wolf Spiders. They live underground in small holes and venture out at night to hunt. There eye shine can be seen for hundreds of metres under spotlight.

Cool...but....shudder, and I really don't mind spiders so much.

My son was on a camping trip and one of the other kids woke up with an egg sack on his face and they found a Wolf Spider in his bed that morning. Poor kid was traumatized after that. Ewwwww.

possibly a different Wolf Spider to the type we encountered in Venezuela? those seemed quite content to bathe in the sunlight.

Man, you give me trauma for life with these images:) One good thing about Sweden is that the spiders are quite small, but im afraid of them to....How about a cute puppy or something for tomorrow ??

I moved house in the UK recently, one of the removal guys had spent a year in Aus, the other guy said he would not be able to live there due to the snakes and spiders.... I guess this is what he was thinking of!
